Kaslo's All In Sports To Pitch Bodycheck Table Hockey on CBC Dragon's Den

DRAGON'S DEN
May 11th, 2009

Kaslo BC based All In Sports Entertainment, makers of "Bodycheck Table Hockey" the worlds greatest table gaming experience, are heading to Toronto on May 20th 2009 to tape an episode of CBC's popular fiery TV show "Dragons Den" for possible future showing.

With recent ratings of over 805,000 viewers per show according to BBM, All In Sports President Dan Sammartino and his partner Darren Watt will be presenting their Bodycheck Table Hockey game to five of Canada's most discerning investors, on one of the country's most watched TV programs.

Dan Sammartino self proclaimed "worlds greatest Bodycheck table hockey player" co-founded All In Sports in 2005. After many years of refining what has become to be known as the "Greatest Table Hockey Game in the World". Added Sammartino "I have been a life long table hockey fanatic, this game has been a labor of love and a lot of blood sweat and tears for the last 25 years but I am very satisfied with the result".

"When I met Dan in 2005, he had already created several prototypes of the game but they were all in the beta stages" remarked Watt. "We put together a great team in Kaslo and have assembled an amazing product, I know the Dragon's are going to like it" added Watt.

As for the Dragons, Sammartino admits that they can be difficult and hard on entrepreneurs who come to them with business ideas. "on occasion they can embrace start-ups and invest in them, or they can sometimes pop the balloon of the unprepared or not ready for market business with a frank reality-check often focused on company valuations," explains Sammartino "Regardless, it makes for great TV and will only help create buzz and awareness about Bodycheck."

Will these Kaslo entrepreneurs slay the Dragons? Watt and Sammartino think they can. Sammartino and Watt are available for media interviews before and after the taping.

Country Mice Donate Local Game To The City Mice

COUNTRY MICE

March 4th, 2009

After her son was born, in 1981, Evelyn Planidin learned he had a rare genetic liver defect, P.K.U. Although it could be treated with a special diet, P.K.U. required continuous monitoring during his growing years.

"The B.C. Children‘s Hospital in Vancouver became a part of our routine. Although with no lengthy stays, countless hours were spent there with his specialist, dietician, neurologist, physiotherapist and so forth. Between these appointments we spent time with other children, parents, staff and volunteers - We felt like family". The surroundings at Children‘s Hospital were cheerful and bright. Games can be a wonderful motivator for children. Physical activity and interactions with others help aid the recovery process. It was truly heartwarming seeing a mischievous twinkle in the eye or a smile on a young face, forgetting about their medical troubles while playing a game. Our family thinks it is important for us to donate this amazingly fun and durable table hockey game for the children to use and enjoy.

Now, 28-year old Christopher Masse along with his mother Evelyn and step-father Kim Planidin are giving back. On March 4th 2009 B.C. Children's Hospital received a unique, Canadian made table hockey game. Chris is a longtime hockey player and with his wife Andrea and their son Cayden are huge Canucks fans. The Vancouver Canucks have given permission to use the faces and numbers of the current players as part of their "Canucks for Kids" program.

COUNTRY MICE

With investing in a local new business, All In Sports Entertainment Inc., a Bodycheck table hockey game is included. We decided to donate our game, but where? Our first and only thought was the BC Children‘s Hospital.

This is the first game of AiSE in the 'Youth Partnership Program', giving children an opportunity to experience and learn the great Canadian tradition of table hockey.

Darcy Rota, a long time Vancouver Canuck fan favorite and supporter of charity and Dan Sammartino President of All in Sports Entertainment Inc. were on hand for the presentation and showed off their skills at the game. "This high end game will bridge the gap between toys and professional sports and the kids at the children's hospital will love it".

Staff involved in making this game -, Dan Sammartino, Darren Watt, Kevin Watt, Brian Klein and Kim Planidin

The table hockey game will placed in the BC Children's Hospital - Mental Health Ward, part of the new extension. Staff involved with organizing the presentation are Larry Gold M.D. - President of BCCH, Tracey Tang - Public Affairs & Communications, Pat Gillis MA - Director of Volunteer Resources, Cynara Radley - Mental Health Supervisor and Catherine Beller - BCCH Volunteer.
